Product Details
Introducing the MakerBot Method 3D Printer, this is a combination of a desktop and industrial 3D printer. Incorporating some industrial 3D printer features into a perfect desktop printer which can produce consistent parts with ± 0.2 mm dimensional accuracy and uniformity. Using Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) technology, which enables the quick building of complex objects. FDM works by the heating filament to melting point and extruding it through a heated nozzle in progressive layers to build up an object. Dual extruder nozzles allow for quicker printing and save time, by having filament ready to go and not needing to empty the extruder to print in a different material. A longer thermal core provides heat up time of 60 seconds letting you start your project quicker.
The material bays are dry sealed to form a near-perfect seal to keep material free from humidity damage. This feature is usually seen on industrial 3D printers, where sensors ensure your material is stored at its optimal environment.
The Method build surface allows for prints to adhere better, reducing in warping and curling. Prints are easier to remove from the plate with a new bendable Flex Build Plate. The build plate is factory levelled so can be used straight out of the box, which is perfect for 3D Printing. A neat feature of the build plate is that it can pop out the chamber, allowing users to quickly set up for their next print.
This is another industrial grade feature integrated into the MakerBot Method. A circulating heated chamber that controls the temperature of every later of the print.
A built-in 5" full-colour touchscreen, displays receive up to date status of your current print job and you can navigate through menus, easily setting up your next print and adjusting settings.
