A Hex Key is commonly referred to as an Allen Key, this is because Allen was the original manufacturer of the Hex key.
Also, a hex key can be reconditioned using an electrical grinder, or similar type of equipment. Through removing the worn-out part, the hex key has the capability of functioning like its brand new again – Although this type of maintenance should be minimal if the hex key is cared for and kept in a good condition.
FAQs
How secure are the blades in the handle?
The set includes a 100 mm extension piece and a CAB fluted handle, which retains driver blades firmly by means of a spring retention ring yet permits quick, easy insertion and removal.
