RS PRO ESD Bench & Floor Matting
Introducing RS PRO ESD protective matting. These mats are designed to help prevent damage to ESD sensitive items and assemblies from Electrostatic Discharge. During application, the mats drain static charge, ground the item and protect surfaces from wear.
Where would you use these ESD mats?
Anti-static matting should be laid out in the workshops or advanced laboratories for microelectronic industries such as electronic semi-conduct devices, electronic computers, electronic communication equipment and integrated circuits.
Features and Benefits
Great value ESD Bench Matting
Made from anti-static (conductive) and static- dissipative materials with synthetic rubber
Static Dissipative Layer
Conductive Layer
All bench mats come with 10 mm studs in each corner
Surface resistivity >103 >105Ω2
Resistance to ground RG - 107 to >109Ω
For grounding cords see stock no. 466-1687 typically
Construction
3 mm thick 3 layer structure
A surface layer is a 1.25 mm thick static-dissipative layer
A middle layer is a 0.5 mm conductive layer
The bottom layer is a 1.25 mm thick static-dissipative layer
Available Options
RS stock no: 466-1643 - 600 x 1200 mm – Blue
RS stock no: 466-1665 - 1200 x 1800 mm - Blue
RS stock no: 466-1659 - 600 x 1200 mm – Grey
RS stock no: 466-1671 - 1200 x 1800 mm – Grey
Standards
Conforms to ESD S20.20 and EN 61340-5-1 ESD
Why is it important to be ESD safe?
ESD safe mats help to create an ESD protected area (EPA). This is a defined space where all surfaces, objects, people and ESD Sensitive Devices (ESDs) are kept at the same electrical potential. This is achieved by using anti-static materials such as rubber. The mats can be used on your worktop bench or the floor. You can also use ESD safe gloves and ESD safe footwear to ensure optimum personal grounding and protection. It's important to create an EPA because electrostatic discharge can cause safety issues and damage your electrical components.
Standards
Supports ESD S20.20 and EN 61340-5-1 ESD control programme compliance
Bench / Floor Matting
The most efficient way of ensuring optimum personal grounding is to employ the combination of ESD footwear and ESD matting.
