The SFH 5711 family of ambient light sensors from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors are designed to detect brightness according to the human eye. They are able to detect small changes in ambient light, offering nearly continuous dimming. This accuracy makes the SFH 5711 ideal for applications like displays, where they are required to adjust according to the ambient light conditions.
