What is the difference between propane and butane gas?

Propane gas is a by-product of natural gas which is compressed into a liquid form. Propane is typically used as a fuel for heating and cooking applications and can also be used as vehicle fuel. It is a very versatile gas that can be used across most applications at home or at work.

Butane is a flammable hydrocarbon gas that has been pressurised and liquidised. It can be used in the same way as propane for heating applications and vehicle fuel, however, due to its higher boiling point, it is much more flammable than propane and freezes when it reaches 0°C, whereas propane can continue to be used in below 0 temperatures.

What can I use this refill for?

This refill has been designed to be used with blowtorches, gas camping stoves ad soldering irons.

It is not recommended for the refill to be used outside of what it has been designed or intended for due to its high pressure and flammability

Standards and Certifications:

EN417

Note:

Propane and butane gas is highly flammable
