Phoenix Contact SUBCON-PLUS Profibus D-Sub Connectors 12 Mbps
This range of SUBCON-PLUs Profibus connectors are up to 12 Mbps in speed and work hand-in-hand with Phoenix Contacts PROFIBUS network. Connectivity is simple with the D-sub connector with spring cage terminal points for the input and a D-sub connection on the output. D-Sub connectors form a tight and secure bond with its mating adapter thanks to the screw connections.
These specific D-Sub connectors are suitable for all common fast connect PROFIBUS cables and RS-485 bus lines and you can switch to the D-sub orientation through a reversible connection blocks.
Features and benefits:
- Can be used on all PROFIBUS systems up to 12 Mbps
- When the optional terminating resistor is switched in, the output circuit is disconnected to aid fault finding by segmenting the network
- Additional connection for a programming or service device
- Spring terminal or screw terminal connector technology (...SC...)
- Integral strain relief
- Cable entry optionally left or right (exc. PROFIB/PG and PROFIB/PG/SC2)
- Programming connection optional (...PG...)
- Cable entry axial (...AX...)
- ATEX Ex rating – Installation in potentially explosive areas is approved.
What is a d-sub connector?
D-sub connectors or D-subminiature connectors as they're commonly called are D-shaped connections that can contain a variety of pins and come in a variety of sizes. D-Sub connectors are typically used in connecting wires to PCBs to transfer a multitude of signal types and thanks to their screw method of connection they'll provide a robust and long-lasting strong connection.
