3M Electrical Scotchcast Resin 40

Scotchcast resin 40 is designed for the electrical insulation and mechanical protection of electrical cable joints. Resin 40 is non-filled two component polyurethane which cures at room temperature. Once the resin has cured it is impact resistant and durable against moisture and atmospheric corrosion. Scotchcast 40 is classified as low voltage insulation water curable according to Cenelec HD 631.1 S2 standard.

FEATURES:
• Good adhesion on metals and various plastics
• Hydrophobic behaviour during the curing stage
• Excellent hydrolytic stability
• Available with a closed mix and pour delivery system
• Low exothermic reaction temperature
• High performance insulating resin in bag package for low voltage cables connection insulation and mechanical protection up to 1 KV
• Hydrophobic polyurethane resin
• Fast and clean use thanks to the integrated spout
• Guarantees the highest grade of electrical insulation for professional application

APPLICATION:
Mechanical protection and electrical insulation of low voltage electrical joints installed for indoor and outdoor, underground and submerged application.

STORAGE:
Resin 40 has a shelf life of at least 36 months when stored between 10°C and 40°C. Each of the products carries an expiration date on the label.
