From 3M, this silicon rubber tubing is perfect for cable and wiring protection in all kinds of applications. It’s robust and flexible construction means it is suitable for even challenging environments.
Features and Benefits
• Primary electrical insulation for all solid dielectric (rubber and plastic) insulated wire and cable splices rated up to 1000V
Seals tight, retains its resilience and pressure even after prolonged years of ageing and exposure
• Simple installation, no torches, heat or tools required
• Accommodates a wide range of cable sizes
• Physical protection and moisture sealing for high voltage, air-insulated connectors and lugs such as spacer cable and lug connections to bus bar
• Resists moisture, acids and alkalis, ozone and ultraviolet light
Applications
• For indoor, outdoor, in cable tray for overhead use
• Ideal for electrical aircraft cables
• Temp range -55°C to +260°C
• Resists fire - will not support flame
• Resists fluid splashes
• Resists moisture
• Hydrophobic surface - water forms into ’beads’. Does not wet the whole surface.
