Lapp SKINTOP Metal Halogen Free EMC Cable Glands

From Lapp, the Skintop series presents a cable gland designed for use with copper-screened cables. It features a low-resistance screen contact and flexible EMC contact, which protects against interference signals.

The MS-HF-M SC gland can maintain a high degree of protection against environmental ingress. These screw on cable glands are easy to install, and provide strain relief to prevent wear and tear on the cable connection.

The Skintop series of cable glands have a rugged nickel-plated brass body, and as such have a high degree of mechanical resistance, ensuring a reliable and durable connector solution for demanding environments. They also feature halogen-free components, which makes them suitable for use in confined spaces where public safety is a priority, such as in rail transport.

Features and Benefits

• Provides Strain Relief to Connecting Wire
• Halogen free and flame retardant components
• Low-Resistance 360° screen contact
• Flexible EMC Contact
• Hazard Level: HL 3
• Protection Rating of IP68, 5 bar
• Robust, Durable Construction
• Operating Temperature Dynamic -25 °C up to +100 °C
• Operating Temperature Statically -40 °C up to +100 °C
• Metric Thread Sizes

Applications

Skintop halogen free cable glands are used in junction boxes and panels in various specialist environments where public safety is a concern, such as:

• Underground Railways and Trains
• Office and Public Buildings
• Airports and Marine ports

They are often used in application such as:

• Control Cabinet Construction
• Engine and Tool Building
• Conveyor Systems

Environment
