ESD Diagonal Cutters for DIP-CMS Components

Facom 417.SPE are diagonal ESD antistatic cutters which are ideal for precision work. They have an overall length of 110mm and a maximum cutting capacity of 0.7mm.
These cutters allow full access to SMT (surface-mount technology) components with a pitch of 0.65 to 0.5 mm.
They allow the individual cutting of a single lug, for example, to remove a function from a component. They are particularly useful for engineers, laboratories, or anyone who has to work on boards with SMT.
The 417.SPE model has, in addition, the dissipating and non-charge generating features of the "ESD" series cutters.

Features and Benefits:

Protection of electronic components from risks of electrostatic discharge (ESD)
Ergonomic ESD safe soft grips
Flush cut type – cuts the legs of the components flush with the circuit board
Weight: 60g
NF ISO 9654, ISO 9654, DIN ISO 9654, ASME B107.500

Typical Applications:

Cutters are hand tools used to cut through wires and are available in a range of shapes and sizes to suit a variety of tasks and applications. The most common type of cutter head is oval, tapered and angled. The type of cut produced depends on the bevel of the cutter. Semi-flush cutters are more durable and produce a quick cut rough rougher edges, whereas an ultra-flush bevel will produce a much cleaner cut but is susceptible to damage. Cutters are commonly used in applications such as:

• DIY
• Industrial
• Construction
• Electronic Installation

FAQs

What material is this cutter suitable with?
These cutters have been designed to slot in the 0.65mm gap between lugs of DIP components and ideal for people who work on boards with SMT.

What sizes of Cutters are available?
Cutters come in a variety of sizes ranging from 110mm to 280mm (overall length). These cutters have an overall length of 110mm.
If a model type comes in different lengths, the jaws will be the same length but the handles will be either shorter or longer. They are usually light in weight due to the fact they are carried around a lot but heavier types with a wide jaw and thick blades are able to cut thicker wires.
