Group Overview

PVC-U Piping System

PVC fittings must withstand the location-variable load conditions arising from the internal pressure. They must be reinforced where high loads occur. The wall thickness must be designed accordingly where low loads occur.
To verify the direction, the most common fittings must be labelled with an angle mark. The main dimensions must comply with ISO standards and ISO draft standards for mm pipe as well as DIN 8063. When making glued joints, use of an adhesive with gap-filling properties is absolutely essential.

Pipe, fittings, ball valves, diaphragm valves, ball check valves and accessories for creating PVC-U piping systems. The individual components are connected using the Tangit system comprising cleaner and adhesive.

Resistant to:

  • Acids and bases

Recommended applications:

  • Drinking water, distilled water, industrial water, wastewater, cooling brines, seawater, plant and apparatus engineering, food industry, beverage industry
Universally applicable plastic with the largest assortment of fittings and valves

PVC-U

Polyvinyl chloride without plasticiser

Not recommended for:

  • Aromatic solvents
    Low-temperature applications (<0 °C)
    High-temperature applications (>60 °C)

GF PVC-U fittings feature the DIBt test mark (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik / German Institute for Construction Engineering) no. Z-40.23-2.
Verification of suitability in accordance with § 19h of the German Federal Water Act (WHG) does not apply to these items.
